Prior to Linchpin Intranet Suite 3.4, Linchpin Pings was called Linchpin Assistant.
To access the Pings configuration click on the gear icon, click on General Configuration and scroll down until you find Pings.
To create a ping enter a name inside the text field. This name won't be displayed for users.
Next, select the type of notice: Subscription for News, Profile Fields or Text. Then click on the create notice button.
Then further configure the notice as you wish.
Click on the Save button when you're finished.
Within the notice configuration, enable the Active the notice slider button (green = active).
In the Display options section, enter the title and the text of your notice.
In the Content configuration section, select the profile fields which should be available to edit (Profile Fields) or enter the spaces to which the user can subscribe for news (Subscription for News).
