2.0 Release Notes

New Features:

  • Introducing a new topic concept for a better communication structure
    • With microblog topics, you can give your microblog communication a better structure.
    • Create as many topics per space as you want.
    • Choose between the global timeline, space timelines or topic timelines.
  • You can disable the daily digest or choose a default time to send it.

Enhancements:

  • We hired space monkeys from Alpha Centauri to fix lots of small bugs.

Known Issues:

  • Using Confluence 5.4, there are display issues in the macro configuration
  • Space homepage is necessary for attachment upload
  • "Save" shortcut tooltip is shown twice in microblogs on pages
  • Switching to the fullscreen mode of the editor (Ctrl+Shift+F) causes a layout bug
  • View File Macros are not supported, please use the "Show as link" option to attach files other than images

Important general upgrade notes from version 1.x to 2.0.x

  • When upgrading, during the first installation of this new version, all existing microposts will be migrated to belong to new default topics. This migration process can take quite some time (for more information please see the administration guide).
  • The macro "microblog" is now deprecated and will be removed in a later version. It should not be used anymore. All its features are now included in the new macro "Microblog timeline".

2.0.2 Release Notes

Release 2.0.2 is a bug-fix release. Take a look at the new features and other highlights in the 2.0 Release Notes.

  • Fixed database issues with MS SQL or PostgreSQL databases, which prevented the plugin to run correctly.
