Documentation's navigation

On this page

Congratulations on all the benefits of using your intranet on the go!

Did you know that you can customize your navigation in the mobile app?

Not only can you re-arrange menu items to highlight the most important or frequently used options, now you can expand your ("more") menu however you like it!

Create menu categories for the "more" entry

In the Linchpin intranet web (!) app, head to Settings / Administration →  Linchpin → Mobile → Menu → "More" menu.

Here you will find a brand new drag & drop configuration for your "more" menu entry.

Click on the + Create menu category button to create a new, empty section within the "more" entry that can hold links.

Name your new menu category and save it.

Psst! The preview is interactive! Don't see all links that you created in the preview?

Try scrolling within it! slightly smiling face

Add new links to the mobile menu

Now you're ready to fill your category with new links.

Click + Add menu item to do that.

In the now open sidebar, enter a label for your link (the text that the link will be displayed as) and enter the URL.

Click on the + Plus button to select an icon for your menu entry.

You can choose from three styles. To switch icon styles, click on the dropdown field in the upper right corner. By default, the option 'filled' is active.

Don't forget to save.

(info)  Icon selector explained

You can scroll through the selection(s) or enter what you are looking for in the search bar, located in the upper left corner.

When using the search bar, icons fitting your search criteria will be highlighted from the selection (while the 'wrong' icons will grey out).

Link internal pages, spaces, blog posts or files

Besides linking to external webpages, you can also link directly to content of your intranet. The editor has a built-in Confluence space, page and blog post picker. It even lets you select files.

Simply enter the name of the space, page or blog post that you wish to link to and all pages (or spaces or blog posts) that match your search criteria will appear. You can then choose from the selection.
