Linchpin Mobile is not your common Confluence add-on -
It consists of various components working together to provide the best mobile experience with your Linchpin intranet!
Linchpin Mobile consists of four different components that are all listed below. Not all of them are obligatory in order to access your Confluence-based intranet with Linchpin Mobile but depending on your use cases and your company's infrastructure you might want to consider using more than the basic setup.
The Linchpin Mobile device app as well as the Linchpin Mobile Confluence app are obligatory and can be complemented by the optional Linchpin Mobile Gateway. Please note that only one option for the Linchpin Mobile Gateway (cloud or on-site) can be active at a time.
Linchpin Mobile device app
OBLIGATORY COMPONENT
This is one of the core components of Linchpin Mobile. The mobile device app is necessary for accessing your Linchpin intranet from any mobile device.
Our Linchpin Mobile device apps are available for Android and iOS devices and can easily be downloaded from the official stores for free (iOS AppStore or Google Play). In order to use it with your iOS device you need version 10 or later, on Android we support version 4.4 and later.
Linchpin Mobile Confluence app
OBLIGATORY COMPONENT
This is one of the core components of Linchpin Mobile. The Confluence app (also 'add-on' or 'plugin') is necessary for providing the Confluence counterpart to the mobile device app. All communication between your Confluence and your employees' mobile devices is coordinated by this component.
The Linchpin Mobile Confluence app is a regular Confluence add-on that can be obtained via the Atlassian Marketplace. In order to use it with your Confluence you need version 5.10.0 or later.
Linchpin Mobile Gateway (Cloud)
OPTIONAL COMPONENT
The Linchpin Mobile Gateway provides mobile access to your Confluence-based intranet hosted behind a firewall without the need to set up a VPN tunnel first. The cloud option is free for all customers that hold a valid Linchpin Mobile license and is hosted by //SEIBERT/MEDIA in a german data-center.

Linchpin Mobile Gateway (on-site)
OPTIONAL COMPONENT
The Linchpin Mobile Gateway provides mobile access to your Confluence-based intranet hosted behind a firewall without the need to set up a VPN tunnel first. The on-site option requires a separate license and is not included in the Linchpin Mobile license (See here for pricing information).
