Problem

The Linchpin Mobile app on a user's mobile device throws the following error when adding a new login via scanning a QR code:


Cause

This error appears when Linchpin Mobile is not able to verify the information of a scanned QR code.


Resolution

If scanning from a monitor make sure that the QR code is displayed in full size. If scanning from paper make sure it's not creased.

Sometimes also bad lighting conditions or camera shake might cause the QR code scan to fail.
