Show company and team structures with the Linchpin Intranet Suite and clear & automated organizational charts and find the right contact person at any time. The persons included in the chart are linked with their profiles - for better collaboration and more overview in your company.
The more people work in your company, the more difficult it becomes to keep track of the workforce. It then can quickly become unclear who is actually working in which team, with which colleagues and on which topics. Especially when working from home, without the physical presence, organizational structures can no longer be sufficiently transparent and thus become not comprehensible, even in medium-sized companies.
Especially in the recent past, we have noticed more than ever, how important digital tools can be to support collaboration across locations. What you need is a tool that allows you to map your organizational and team structures digitally, quickly and easily – from anywhere and available to everyone.
Linchpin offers you a social intranet solution that offers a solution for this problem. In your Linchpin intranet, all users have their own profile which they can maintain. With the help of the information from the profiles, an organizational chart or a structural diagram of your company is created and kept up-to-date automatically, and can be accessed via the people directory. You can configure different structures and customize the display according to your wishes.
In addition, the organizational charts are flexible in their usability: With the help of the OrgChart macro, you can integrate the organizational chart into any intranet pages or blog posts. Team pages, department portals or personal pages of your employees are particularly suitable for this.
Of course, the organization charts are also available in Linchpin when you are on the road. With the Linchpin Mobile app, you can access a mobile-optimized view of the charts from anywhere, so that you always have the current structures in your company at your fingertips.
OrgCharts at Seibert Media
In our company, the extended profiles and the structural diagrams are tools to improve collaboration within the company. On the one hand, the profile functions offer us a good opportunity to find the right contact person in the company at any time. On the other hand, the structural diagrams allow us to visualize our team structures clearly. This helps especially our new employees to find their way around during their first days at Seibert Media.
In our short intranet story, Christina explains exactly how we map our organizational structures digitally, in a company with almost 200 employees, and how Linchpin helps us, especially during the onboarding process.
The profiles of your employees can be configured extensively and also includes a field which specifies their superiors. Based on this data, Linchpin automatically creates an organizational chart of your company, which is available in the people directory.
You can configure different organizational charts and access them via tabs above the chart, while remaining on the same page. In addition, you can choose how many levels of hierarchy should be displayed.
You can move freely within the diagram and control the zoom level. Using corresponding buttons, you can also center the view again or reset it, should you ever lose the overview.

In addition to the organizational charts, you can also access your structural diagram via the people directory. The structural diagram offers you an overview of all teams or departments in your company and also shows the corresponding employees.
You can customize the display so that only the information you truly need is shown. Individual users can be hidden and teams or departments can also be hidden. You can of course make all of them visibile again with ease.
Here you will also find the buttons for zooming in and out, centering and resetting the view, to customize the view and get a better overview of your structural chart and the structures within your company.
