1.5

Feature cleanup

  • We removed the product overview and the support information screens completely.
  • The configuration of notices and the onboarding assistant are now accessible via the Linchpin Suite configuration.

Please note: these changes affect the version included in the Linchpin Suite.

1.4

Read-only mode support is a thing now.

New features

  • We are now compatible with the Confluence Data Center read-only mode.

Improvements & fixes

  • Onboarding: We improved the detection if a new user should be onboarded or not.
  • Assistant: We disabled Confluence keyboard shortcuts while the assistant pop-up is active.
  • Translations: We fixed an upload issue with Confluence 7 and later.
  • Translations: We improved the handling of default translations.

1.3

New possibilities for Onboarding, Assistant and Translations.

New features - Linchpin Onboarding

  • During the onboarding process, new users can be offered spaces to subscribe to. The subscriptions are relevant for their personal news feeds. (Requires Linchpin Enterprise News 2.8 or later)

New features - Linchpin Assistant

  • Actively offer news channels for subscription to existing users in a notice pop-up. (Requires Linchpin Enterprise News 2.8 or later)
  • Each notice can be scheduled to only be shown once for each user instead of being shown repeatedly.
  • Each notice can now have a start and expiration date, so you can prepare notices in advance and don't forget disabling them when they lose relevance.

We will expand the possibilities for both features in the future. For example: make suggestions for content or events based on profile fields.

New features - Linchpin Translations

  • Translate Confluence, apps, and even several field values into languages you need.

1.3.1

Hotfix release

  • Using expiration dates in Linchpin Assistant notices could lead to hanging instances when the expiration dates were reached. This has been fixed.

1.3.2

Hotfix release

  • We fixed a critical bug (introduced in 1.3.0) that broke the Linchpin Assistant in Internet Explorer 11.

1.3.3

Bugfix release

  • We fixed a bug that prevented proper use of Linchpin Assistant with Internet Explorer 11.

1.2

We introduce two new functionalities: Linchpin Onboarding and Linchpin Assistant.

New features - Linchpin Onboarding

  • Configure an onboarding wizard for new (or existing) users that replaces the standard Confluence onboarding.
  • Users can be asked to fill out profile fields or upload their avatar picture. (Requires Linchpin User Profiles)

New features - Linchpin Assistant

  • Configure reminders for your users to fill out certain profile fields they haven't filled out yet. (Requires Linchpin User Profiles)
  • Each reminder can be scheduled to show daily, once a week, once a month or whatever suits your needs.

We will expand the possibilities for both features in the future. For example, we will offer the option to subscribe to news channels in the onboarding process or, later on, make suggestions for contents or events based on profile fields.

1.2.1

Hotfix release

  • The Linchpin Assistant prevented Confluence access for anonymous users. We have fixed the bug and reduced the daily cake ration for the responsible developer.

1.0.0

The Linchpin apps are bundled and comfortably displayed in a list view. You can easily manage and control personalization and additional functions in your intranet.

New features

  • Linchpin products are now bundled in a simple overview.
  • You can create a helpful support snippet now.

Enhancements

  • We gave the app a more prominent position in the Confluence Administration.
