Summary & Highlights

Welcome to Linchpin Essentials 2.6!

For this release we put the emphasis on new features in Linchpin Theme as well as improvements, to be more specific on the gender neutral language in the German version.

For Linchpin User Profiles we've added an info message concerning LDAP filled profile fields as well as improved the display of the profile macro when the column, in which it's in, is not wide enough. Information won't be cut off anymore in this case.

For Linchpin Theme we've extended the footer configuration, so you can now add a custom rich text footer column, change the order of the columns as well as show and hide any existing column, including the default columns. We've also worked on the Linchpin Teaser macro: They can now use anchor links, have fixed height and width in all three variants and links will now be registered as incoming links on the targeted pages.

And of course this release also brings a lot of other improvements and bugfixes.

Make sure to check out the full release notes!

  • 2.6.1 We improved the performance when a select field option update affected many users.
  • 2.6.1 Users with spaces in their usernames can now edit their profiles. Please note that usernames containing spaces are not recommended and can only be created in Confluence by importing users from a directory.
  • 2.6.1 We improved compatibility with assistive technologies.

Bugfixes

  • We solved a problem that arose from user info being imported from different directories, which sometimes made profile fields editable that shouldn't have been.

  • Corrupted profile images can no longer prevent you from accessing a profile page.
  • We don't index linked text fields anymore because this information is redundant and updating such fields caused performance impacts in large instances.
  • We fixed some potential Confluence 8 issues.
  • 2.6.1 In the administration area, we stopped the help box from moving into the next line.
  • 2.6.1 We fixed a JS error that could occur when opening the Customized User List macro configuration. The problem only existed if a third-party app uses the JavaScript library Lodash incorrectly.
