Learn how to configure the home page feed for News for Confluence Cloud.

What is the home page feed?

Our news app is now a feature of your home page, too! Access the latest news before you get lost in the hundreds of pages in your wiki.

Navigate to Settings → News → Home page feed

In this section, you can decide how news are being displayed within the News Hub.

Select either Tile view or List view for your macro.

The tile view uses modern tiles while the list is a more compact (while still retaining the modern look).

The actual thumbnail image is being pulled directly from the blog post itself. Make sure to attach a nice image to your blog post so that it can be used as a thumbnail in the News Hub and within the news macro.

Number of news

Select how many news should be displayed before the "Load more news" button appears.

Select the source of your blog posts.

Define spaces in which your news are published and which should be used as a source for the feed.

Enter a list of labels, separated by comma or space, that should be displayed in the feed.

News section

Define which news section should be used to display news. News sections can be defined in the configuration and allow for a personalized display of blog posts/news. Read more in the news sections documentation.

Display elements

In this section, you can decide which elements should be featured on the thumbnail of a news article.

Hide elements by unchecking the box, display elements by activating the checkbox.

Link behavior

Activate the Open links in new tabs option to ... open link in new tabs. If the checkbox remains unchecked, links will be opened in the same tab.

News tile background

Select the background color for news without a thumbnail image or news in classic mode. Watch the live preview update your color changes in real time to check if you're happy with your choice.

You can either use a color slider, enter an RGB color value, a HEX color value or an HSL color value. Whatever you prefer.

Can only be configured in the news hub configuration.
