Strategic focus of Linchpin products

Since the launch of Linchpin and the release of the individual Linchpin apps on the Atlassian marketplace, we have continued to further develop our products. From several, individual app modules we've been able to combine everything into one seamless solution: the  Linchpin Intranet Suite.

In order to continue offering a professional product, we want to implement changes and solutions in order to meet the demands for more productivity and efficiency.


Phasing out the sale of the app Linchpin Manager

Background information

The app Linchpin Manager will no longer be offered as a standalone app. The sale of these apps will be phased out of the Atlassian Marketplace in February of 2020. The entire functionality of the app has been taken over and will soon become exclusively available to the customers of the Linchpin Intranet Suite.  This is a strategic decision that will consolidate and contribute to the strengthening of our app portfolio in relation to Linchpin.

Scope of continued usage and validity of your support claims

You can still continue to use the Linchpin Manager app if your current version of Confluence still supports it.  Should your Confluence version be incompatible with the Linchpin Manager app, the functionality of the app will be lost.

You will still be entitled to support for the duration the term that you purchased.

We do however recommend that you plan to switch over to Linchpin Intranet Suite as soon as it's convenient to you. The suite is a stable and full-service solution that combines all the Linchpin functions as well as other exclusive features. The migration over to the Linchpin Intranet Suite also offers you advantages in terms of price. We have compiled an overview of the advantages here. 

  • Companies that are already using Linchpin as their complete intranet solution should consider migrating over to the Linchpin Intranet Suite at their earliest convenience.
  • Companies that have been using the Linchpin Manager app in order to style and coordinate communication between apps  no longer need Linchpin Manager to cover these requirements since the release of the Linchpin Theme app in version 2.19.1.
