The Linchpin Manager was terminated in version 1.6 (Linchpin Intranet Suite 3.3). We integrated its functions and child apps (Translations, Pings und Onboarding) directly into the Linchpin Intranet Suite.

How it works

First, define up to three profile fields to base the filtering on (for example, the Location profile field). Then, for each app, define which criteria in a user's profile need to be met to recommend that app to the user.

LINCHPIN ENTERPRISE NEWS

Personalize your news!

Do you want to tailor news to meet your employees needs? Then extend the Linchpin Enterprise News to include this feature with our Linchpin Manager. By using both apps together, you can personalize news sections and with Cover Stories and the Corporate News Feed, broadcast news to specific user groups.

It makes sense to separate news in large companies, e.g. by location. German users see news items in Cover Stories in German, users based in the US see news items in English.

How it works

First, define which profile attributes are relevant for personalization (for example, the Location profile field). Select the profile fields that will be used as the attribute for choosing news channels. Then assign news channels to their user groups. You get to decide which profile attributes a person should have in order to see these news items.

Do you want to offer your employees personalized entry points to your Confluence instance? Then extend the Linchpin Theme to include this feature with our Linchpin Manager. By using both apps together, you can quickly and easily define different starting space homepages for users and user groups. Users enter Confluence and are directed to a space based on their location, department or any other profile attribute. For example, an employee with Marketing as their Department in their profile, will be directed to the homepage of the space Marketing Home. You can also define personalized location and product-based homepages in this way. For more custom profile fields we recommend our Linchpin User Profiles app.

How it works

In the Confluence administration console, set one or more profile fields to use as the basis for the filter that sends users to a specific space homepage. After a user logs in, the filter checks the user's profile, and directs them to their matching space homepage. For example, after logging in, marketing employees will see the space homepage for the marketing department MARKETING HOME.
