Project completed in 2013 | www.vwd.com

The client

The vwd group offers tailor-made information, marketing and technology solutions for the securities business. It has specialized in customer-specific requirements in asset management, retail banking, private banking and wealth management and has developed into a leading provider in Europe. It provides innovative solutions for financial service providers, media, private customers and treasury companies.

The assignment

Concept and design of the website relaunch, based on Typo3.

The solution

User experience

The products and services offered by the vwd group are in focus on the new website. A visitor quickly sees what the vwd group offers and can easily discover the products that may be relevant to them. The homepage provides three entry points, one for each target group, leading the visitor to an overview containing targeted products and services. Visitors can quickly search and navigate to their destination using the drop-down navigation. Using the event filter, visitors can find seminars and events in their area, and can register for these directly online. As the site will be used in countries outside of Germany, it supports multi-language navigation and content.

Project and scope

In close collaboration with the customer, we created personas and then appropriately redesigned the information architecture and the content structure of the website to meet the needs of the personas. We used wireframes and a variety of design concepts as the basis for the final layouts. After all locations gave their approval, we implemented our design. The site was designed to be prepared for the future, and is therefore responsive so as to function well on mobile devices.
