Why a Kick-off-Workshop is right for you

When launching Jira, it will be identified which use cases are going to be recorded by the tool. Most of our clients have a clear focus on using it as a development tool. We assist you in defining the use cases, for which Jira can be used in your business. If Jira is already implemented, you can to use the workshop to add additional use cases. This will allow you to get a greater use and greater efficiency out of the costs.

What is included in a Kick-off-Workshop?

Together we will evaluate your requirements and your company structure and develop a set of use cases, how Jira can be used in your business. Both processes and future users will be taken into account, in order to achieve a step by step implementation and to avoid negatively impacting the launch by too many use cases. If you are planning on using the tool strictly as a development tool, we will focus on the processes around this topic. We are glad to assist you later on, if you are interested in extending your use of the tool.

Workshop content

 Definition of use cases, all processes, that can be illustrated in work flows, can be used.

  • If Jira is not yet launched: Which use cases are you initially interested in?
  • If Jira is already launched: How can it's use be extended and which use cases are possible?
    • Extensive illustration of software development
    • Business wide task management (i.e. work flow driven accounting, etc.)
    • Use of Jira as customer relationship management tool
    • Illustration of access control or order systems
    • Initialization and inventory of hard- and software
    • Illustration of server faults

Preparation of the workshop and evaluation of your requirements  

We have extensive experience in conducting workshops and prepared agenda and workshop content. Many of our customers have additional questions, concepts and other documentation, that they would like to include in the workshop. We evaluate this content prior to the workshop and intend to integrate it in the workshop as well as possible. We evaluate your specific requirements through a questionnaire that we send to you and discuss goals, scope, and content with you. It is an important basis for a qualitative workshop.

Conducting the Workshop   

Workshops are always conducted by experienced //SEIBERT/MEDIA consultants. Depending on the target group and their experience, we have colleagues in strategic, programming or system administrative areas, who can lead the workshop. The workshop can be at your location or via remote desktop sharing session (via WebEx or TeamViewer). Please keep in mind that workshops on site should not take longer than 6 hours per work day. We have made the experience, that longer workshops are exhausting for all participants and can be unproductive for your team. We offer extensive training programs over several days with overnight stay. Remote sessions should last no longer than 2-3 hours.

Additional costs of the workshop

Our regulations for travel expenses are very customer oriented. When purchasing two full workshop days, you will not be charged any travel expenses. For shorter workshops, we will share our travel expenses with you.
